Copitor 2025.1 - 3dsMax Maxscript
3dsMax Script
Copitor 2025.1 allow you to quick copy/paste selected objects to another Max scene or in another Max if you have 2 3dsMax open.
I also like to use it like as a "quick backup" for try something, and to be sure to loose nothing or import some assets from library max file:)
- In Copitor Options you can
- Toggle merging material from Copitor or use curent scene materials
- NEW ! Choose the Max version you want to save as. Check whitch version are available in your current Max before adding numbers.

Known issues:
-Sometimes the Copitor window disapear
You can fix this by removing the Copytor.ini here:
C:\Users\yourname\Documents\3ds Max 2025\autoback\copytor.ini
-Script is not loaded when 3dsMax is restarted
It's seems to be a 3dsmax/Windows issue, not a Copitor issue as we can read here
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-forum/scripts-are-missing-after-closing-3ds-max/td-p/11223247
Here 2 workaround:
1/Run 3dsMax as administrator and then drag and drop copitor tool in the viewport.
2/Try this workaround explained in the forum :
1- Go to the ENU folder.
2- Copy the whole "usermacros" folder and place it in your "Documents" folder for instance (the C: location didn't work for me).
3- In 3DS, Customize/Configure users and project paths, relink both "additional scripts" and "additional macros" to that copied "usermacros" folder that is now under "Documents"
4- Should works!

Thanks for the coffee!
